Gajar Ka Halwa



Gajjar halwa is not only one of my husband's favourite dish but also all our friends....so here is the receipe... Carrots grated - 6 cups Sugar - 2 1/2 cups Milk- 4 cups Ghee - According to your


Ingredients:
6 cup grated carrots
4 cup Milk 2½ cup sugar
Ghee According to your taste
Khoya - optional
½ tsp Cardamom Powder
Dry fruits - Cashews, Almonds , raisins, - As per the choice


Method
For this receipe it would be preferred if you use the organic carrots.:


Soak Almonds in water for atleast 4 hours. Peel and slice thinly. Peel Carrots and grate them grated.
. Now heat a nonstick pan, add 2 tbsp Ghee. Put grated Carrots and stir for 2-3 minutes.
After 2-3 minutes, add milk. Stir on medium heat. Cover pan with lid and let it cook for 10 minutes.
Once Mixture becomes thick, add sugar The sugar will start leaving water.. now let the mixture dry.. the colour of the carrots would also change..
Add the ghee little by little
Now you can add grated khoya and dry fruits..
You can fry the dry fruits in ghee if you prefer and add to the carrots

Delicious Halwa is ready....
